IGS’19 – Sea Ice at the Interface

IGS co-hosts a sea ice symposium every 5 years. The Centre for Earth Observation (University of Manitoba) is excited to be hosting the first to be held in Canada.

Travel Award Program for Students and Early Career Researchers

Beginning April 22nd, 2019 applications will be accepted via Google form at this link: Click Here for Google Form

Do not complete the form before this date – the ‘submit’ button will not be active till April 22

Application deadline: May 13th, 2019

Awards Announced: June 10th, 2019

Deadline for Accepting Award: June 20, 2019

The amount of travel award granted to successful applicants will depend upon the number of received applications and available funds.

Eligibility criteria:

Are currently a Masters or PhD student, or finished graduate school after 2013

Have an abstract accepted for the 2019 IGS Sea Ice Symposium

Acceptance conditions:

Have met the eligibility criteria

Provide receipts for any expenses claimed (within the amount of the award granted)

All reimbursements will be in Canadian dollars (CAD) and will be disbursed at the on-site registration (Hotel Fort Garry)

Successful applicants must respond to the travel award program within 10 days of receiving notification of funding

 

Travel Award Program for Northern Participants

Funding will be available to support travel expenses for participants from Northern Canada. The amount of travel award granted to successful applicants will depend upon the number of received applications and available funds. For more information contact: Lauren.Candlish@umanitoba.ca
